My car collapsed on Friday morning. Have you heard about my emotional attachment to my car and her creator? If you have, then you already know...the raw reminders of what was...the sickening yearning to re-connect. Help me. No, never mind. I can do this. I CAN. Truthfully, the pain feels quieter. The break-down of my car came to reinforce that I don't need the addiction to chaos.I don't need LOVE/HATE, LOVE/HATE, LOVE/HATE. It was sufficating my huge capacity for the light...and I am grateful. For the message in the bottle...the billboard...the nudge...the abandonment...the solitude.

Through some sort of random indiscretion, I hear this: SHE DESERVES IT!

(Oh yeah? What???? What do I deserve???)

WHAT? A broken down car? WHAT? REALLY? IS that all you got?

Phat News For YOU!

On Saturday, October 4th "PHAT LOVE & the thin girl" performed a SOLD-OUT show at the ROCKHEAD PUB in Windsor, Ontario. Truck-loads of thanks to everyone who came out to support!!! We hope to visit Windsor again very soon!!! Special thanks to Kathy Culver who organized, promoted and put up with ME.....MEH!

The next show is in TORONTO (home of the PHAT GIRL) on Saturday, November 22nd at Clinton's Tavern in the back room. You really need to be there. NEED. (Even the word sounds 'needy'...errr something...) Anywhosers here's the 411:

What could be worse than trying to find love in our fast-paced, fat obsessed, ultra cynical world? How about including a four-minute buzzer to signal the beginning and the end of the romance? Yep, this Phattie is bound and determined to find someone who will love her addictions to chaos, her fixation for midnight ‘foodie-calls’, and her failed attempts to conform to society’s narrow ideals. Sounds like a perfect candidate for ‘Speed Dating’!

‘PHAT LOVE & the thin girl’ captures the hilarious love and life stories of a woman on the verge of self-acceptance. Her struggles mirror many of our own insecurities about self, body and finding true love. We meet several memorable characters that make us laugh at ourselves and the things we do in the name of ‘Phat Love’.

This phattie would be a great candidate for a cult but she's just too busy taming her angry inner hulk-girl, posing as a pregnant mommy at the local yoga class, making late night 'foodie-calls' and trying to find true love everytime she walks out the front door. Pfewf!

"PHAT LOVE & THE THIN GIRL" is a hilarious rollercoaster confessional of a single 'voluptuous' woman falling heart first into self-acceptance.

Laughing Matters

Someone falls series-style. Someone falls and then gets mad at you for watching. Someone mis-pronounces a word. Someone mis-pronounces a word and then makes that crazy noise with their mouth like "BLHD"---as if to say: "my bad...my tongue got tangled there for a minute and I was hoping to cover it up with a cave-person word". Someone mis-pronounces a word while reprimanding... (seriously dude---you've lost all power.) Someone has Big Mac breath at Yoga class. Someone gets caught boldly singing the wrong words to a song. Someone accidentally talks aloud while day-dreaming. Someone sneezes and doesn't realize that everyone can see the snot in your hand. Someone farts. Someone tries to cover up a fart with a cough. Someone says: "it's NOT FUNNY!"...and you know they MEAN it...
